Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University Agra (DBRAU), formerly Agra University, stands as a premier state university established in 1927. With a NAAC ‘B++’ accreditation and UGC approval, DBRAU offers a diverse range of diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses. Today, the university serves the educational needs of the seven districts of the Agra Division: Mainpuri, Hathras, Firozabad, Etah, Mathura, Aligarh, and Agra. In addition, SNMC, one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious medical schools, is honored to be connected with DBRAU. An Institution Of 90 Years of Glorious History & Contributions In Teaching And Research (Accreditated Grade A+ by NAAC) (called at the place of Agra University, Agra from 24.09.1995 vide U.P. Govt. Notification No. 33/XVII-V-1-1 (ka)-43-1996, dated 06.01.1996) In 1996, the university was renamed in honor of the architect of the Indian Constitution as Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University. Presently, its jurisdiction spans four districts of Uttar Pradesh – Agra, Mathura, Firozabad, and Mainpuri.
