Generally, a configuration is the arrangement - or the process of making the arrangement - of the parts that make up a whole, as, for example, a constellation is a particular configuration of certain stars. @ Configuration is a class-level annotation indicating that an object is a source of bean definitions. @ Configuration classes declare beans through @Bean -annotated methods.
