I have a ridgid shop vac and wanted to attach the cyclone dust collection system for my woodworking tasks. This pack had all i needed to complete my dust collection system.

This is 1 7/8” hose, but the fittings do not work with existing hose, nor does it provide the hook up at the vacuum. The hose is good quality, but I am sick of trying to find extension hoses for DEWALT shop vacs.

The hose that comes with the Stanley 6 gallon vac broke within a few months, as it is not on a swivel on both ends. I duct taped it back together, but finally looked into replacing it as I’m fixing up a house and use it daily.

Found this hose and it fits perfect! The extra 4 ft of length is wonderful (original is only 6 ft), and both ends swivel instead of just one.

I bought a warehouse deal, and someone had already put a tabbed end on…the wrong end of course. I am a 48 yr old woman and was impossible to remove (probably why it got returned), so I Googled it and found my answer. Heat it up! So i ran the end under hot water for a minute, then stuck a long slim screwdriver under it to get it started. Popped right off!! And the black tabbed end (1 7/8) fit perfect.

The hose is the same width as the original so no loss of suction. Works great! My only regret is not buying it sooner.

Love this hose!! ok- so, maybe not ‘love’, but- it’s nice. VERY soft and supple- easy to use- a huge improvement over the original I received with my vacuum. Definitely worth it-

Really nive heavy duty hose. Has several interchangable parts for different vaccums and sizes. Be careful not to push any parts into the hose until you know which adapter is the right one. There is a indent inside the hose for the adpters to “click” into and very hard to get out

Purchased this to go with my new workshop vac, I will use it for cleaning my car but had to use a bunch of the adaptors to use the 1 7/8 workshop car cleaning tools which makes it very bulky on the end. Its a shame

    Pro:
    1. Long and flexible. Therefore better suction due to hose not bended(prevent suction air flow) too much
    2. Material seems durable
    3. Better price than the Rigid hose from HD

    Cons:
None so far. Time will tell if it lasted

    Great quality. Good fittings.

Just beware this won’t natively fit on your existing hose as an extension. Though you can fit one fitting into the other and make it work. This is in reference to 1 7/8

This is the best hose and adapters to fit several different woodworking tools. I now only have one hose that I can attach to 5 different tools!! Very flexible and a good value!!

First of all I’d like to say this fits my craftsman which is model number 113 177360.

This is so much better flexible softer than the original hose it came with.

The photos above were the only problem I had which I was going to return thinking that it broke but was not . It end of the hose attachment that it came with not the attachments to fit your vacuum . came off with the attachment of one of my tools for the vacuum..
I called the company they were great, I sent them the photos and they said easy solution all I needed to do was reconnect what came with the hose that fitting part and counter clockwise screw it back till it stops screwing.

Worked like a charm I use this vacuum on a regular basis I have two cats and it really picks up their fur from everywhere. I’ve had this now for over two months and have not had a problem with it hope the photos help describe what I’m talking about. I love it!!!!❤️

[UPDATE 8-23-2016: After a little over a month of very frequent use, I remain extremely pleased with this hose. It’s an upgrade I should have made years ago, as it is so much more flexible and convenient that the OEM hose that came with my Ridgid 4-gallon shop vac.]

This “WORKSHOP Wet Dry Vacuum Accessories WS17823A Wet Dry Vacuum Hose, 1-7/8-Inch x 10-Feet Heavy Duty Contractor Wet Dry Vac Hose for Wet Dry Shop Vacuums” is EXACTLY what I needed for my RIDGID portable shop vac (model WD4050, 4 gallon). In fact, this product is identical to the RIDGID-branded “pro hose,” except gray (instead of orange) and less expensive. I’ve had my shop vac for over seven years, but only recently has its original stiff hose begun to crack. Now that I’ve replaced it with this upgraded hose, I realize I should’ve invested in this upgrade years ago.

The principal benefit is that this hose is MUCH more flexible than the original black hose that came with my shop vac, and therefore much less prone to kinking. It also allows for slightly better suction in spite of being three feet longer than the stock hose–presumably because the improved flexibility prevents the hose walls from collapsing or even compressing to restrict the air flow. Basically, I now have three additional feet of reach, moderately improved suction, AND considerably reduced stiffness/resistance from the hose as I maneuver it around obstacles and into corners and crevices. Awesome.

The fit of the attachments is quite good. On one end, I installed the collar with the black locking tab, which fits and locks snugly in place on my RIGID vacuum’s port. On the other end, I installed an adapter with a “friction fit” collar that facilitates a snug connection to the wand attachment that came with my vacuum. Two other included fittings were not needed, but presumably allow the hose to accommodate additional sizes of outlet ports or attachments.

Before installing them, I recommend that you test the fittings you need by matching them up to your shop vac and attachments. Once installed, they lock in TIGHT and are difficult to remove. Initially, I installed the collar with the red locking tab, but when it turned out to be too large for my RIDGID vac (the collar with the black locking tab was the proper size), it took a lot of force to pry it off the hose again. I can’t imagine why other reviewers have had problems with their attachments coming loose. They must have other brands of shop vacs with more unusual attachment points. Whatever the case, the vacuum end of my hose will not come off by accident. Perhaps the friction fit collar that attaches to the wand will loosen over time, but only time will tell. At the moment, it fits so snugly, I doubt it will be an issue.

The only issue I have noticed thus far is an inconsistent whistling noise emitted by the hose. It’s not very loud, but plainly noticeable. However, it only happens intermittently. During several uses, I did not hear it at all. My guess is that it may be caused by a very small gap around one of the fittings or perhaps is an effect of the ribbed hose when it is held at a particular angle or curvature. The issue does not affect suction and usually, I can stop it simply by giving a tug on the hose and changing its position slightly. Not really a significant issue in my opinion, but something that may matter to others.

All in all, this hose is a significant upgrade to any stiff plastic 1-7/8″ shop vac hose like the OEM version that came with the RIDGID WD4050 portable 4 gallon shop vac. However, if your shop vac is equipped with a larger diameter hose (i.e., greater than 2″), I would not recommend this particular hose, as it may restrict airflow, reduce suction, and place greater strain on your vacuum’s motor.

I bought this WORKSHOP hose and the equivalent RIDGID hose for comparison. Other than the colour, I couldn’t tell the difference between the two. The quality and workmanship seem the same.

I used one of the included locking adapters to attach the hose to my Shop-Vac (brand) vacuum, which has a 2-1/2″ inlet port. This is better than any hose that Shop-Vac makes.
