Amazon Basics 1500W Ceramic Personal Heater with Adjustable Thermostat, Black

Me gusta que es un calefactor de un precio muy económico para su performance: supera a un LASKO que tuve anteriormente y este último costó lo doble.

Lo que sí me gustaba más del anterior y con este he batallado es la regulación de la temperatura. No hemos entendido como hacer que llegue a cierta temperatura y se apague. Es inconsistente en ese sentido.

Por ejemplo: hoy en la noche estando en el 4º nivel de potencia llega hasta 25ºC lo que es muy caluroso. Le bajamos un nivel y llega a 23ºC que es perfecto. Mañana lo dejamos a ese nivel pensando que se apagará a 23ºC y se apaga a los 21ºC. (la medición de la temperatura no la hace el calefactor sino la cámara que tenemos para monitorear el sueño de mis hijos).

Sin embargo, para nosotros esto es sólo una cuestión incómoda pero no nos hace valorar mal el producto. Creemos que funciona perfecto y lo usamos TODAS las noches.

OJO: Tenemos celdas solares y nuestro consumo energético no se siente. No tengo idea qué sucedería en una casa sin energías alternativas.

Works very well, quite powerful. I have only used it, sporadically thus far, on the low setting. It was more than warm enough on low, there was no need for the high.
Temperature dial is great, as it allows the unit to power down when chosen temperature is reached.
This unit does not use a remote control, hence my not allotting that feature any stars.
The red LED light just means the unit is “on” and balanced (resting on a level surface).
Note to a previous post made by another purchaser: If the temperature dial is turned all the way down, there is no heat coming out of the heater, regardless if the heating mode dial is on high or low.
As for noise level: on the low setting, mine makes no discernible sound.
So far, this has been a good heater, at a good price point.
Last note: I don’t leave it unattended when it is running, and I unplug it when it is not in use.

I work the graveyard shift with 4 other people in a small office, our days off rotate so our shifts together tend to rotate as only 3 of us 5 are working per shift. One of my coworkers, let’s call her K, is always complaining about how hot it is. I’m the newest hire and all I would hear from all my coworkers except for K is how cold it is in the office as K would always sneak over to the thermostat and turn on the AC and nobody wanted to confront her so they just endured it. That’s not really my style so one night when 2 of us were freezing, I went and checked the thermostat and sure enough K had turned the AC on full blast. I set it back to a neutral temperature, literally just enough to turn off the AC but not enough to turn on the heat. I figured that was fair. K goes on a huge rant about how she is going through menopause and was going to faint because of the heat and it would be all my fault. For the record, I had set the temp to 20 C (68 F). This eventually becomes a thing that goes all the way up to the manager who sides with me, as everyone was cold except for the ONE person.

K was super pissed about this so she started using a desk fan. Perfect, she can point it at herself to cool down and problem solved right? Nope. Out of pettiness she would put that thing on full blast and set it to rotate around the room to cool it all down for her. She would leave it on even when she would go on break or leave the room for extended periods. I would ask her politely not to have it blow in my direction and she would scoff and ignore me. After about 3 months of this, I was talking with one of my other coworkers about this issue and we were looking through Amazon for something for her kid and an ad for this space heater showed up. My mind started spinning and I went into my account and clicked Buy It Now on this beautiful, beautiful machine. It arrived about a week later and I waited for my next shift with K to unleash the nuclear missile I now had in my possession.

My next shift with K finally arrived and I sat in my corner waiting for her to turn on the fan as she always did. Sure enough she turned that sucker on immediately, as soon as the evening staff left. I unzipped my backpack, gave my new friend a little kiss, and set her down to do what was required. As the office slowly but steadily heated up, I watched with pleasure the signs of her discomfort growing. The sweater she always wore came off (even though she always complains about being hot), she began to get twitchy, and was leaving the office more and more frequently. Within an hour the office became so warm that K was begging me to turn it off, promising to not use the fan if I didn’t use the heater. I am a petty man, but a fair man, so I agreed and put away my little weapon of mass destruction. Haven’t had to take it out since. I can see her shake whenever she sees the glint of it when I open my backpack. Just the sight of it is enough to petrify her. Well done Amazon, well done.

In all honesty, for the price, I didn’t expect this to blow me away (no pun intended). BUT this heater is awesome! It’s fairly quiet, very strong, and well priced. I’m always skeptical about buying Amazon products because they aren’t a well established “brand” in the market of the item they are selling (i.e. space heaters, computer mouses, garbage bags, etc.) but am always pleasantly surprised. This heater is WAY better than the Lasko one I bought a month before for my office. Totally worth it + at a fraction of the price.

The heater is very much worth it at its price point. It heats up the room well and has different modes for your preference. You can set the temperature to whatever you like, whether you are feeling only a little bit cold or if you are freezing. Overall a good heater and i would recommend.

Me gusta que calienta una habitación pequeña relativamente rápido y tiene apagado automático después de unos 10 -15 min, cuando siente que ha bajado la temperatura se enciende de nuevo. El cable medirá 1m, es compacto y fácil de usar, lo que sí es que hace un poco de ruido, en mi gusto no es molesto.
