This is an amazing thermos coffee travel cup, but the colour finish scuffs very easy. That is the only issue I have with this, otherwise the leak lock is great and it never spills. Would still highly recommend, although I may recommend the stainless look as then it does not have a finish to mark and scuff.

Sonewhat Disappointed! Description said drinks stay hot up to 7 hours. This is not so. Drink becomes cold in about 2 so cannot sip hot tea for hours. It does stay cold tho. In fact sometimes I still have a little ice from 3 or 4 cubes in my water the following morning.

Great travel mug, keeps my coffee still as hot as when it was made after my 30 min walk to work, and 10 mins sitting down at my desk.
Very good size container and looks very good.
Only thing i can think of that would make it better is being able to lock the drink flask in the open position, so you wouldnt need to keep on pushing the button to have a sip.
Also a slightly larger top, but thats only because i have big hands and struggle put my hand in when cleaning.

I drink a lot of tea from this thermo cup, I absolutely love it! I’m impressed at how long it keeps hot drinks hot. With the easy mechanism of pressing the button on the cover to sip and the click to lock and keep it from spilling. It’s easy to clean and overall just a nice sturdy product, I’ve had it for a few years now and its still going strong, have used it on a half marathon and it was the best keeping my drink hot and was a way to keep warm in the cold windy weather. Happy 👌🏽

Revised review:
In the beginning ……the coffee stay really hot….. 5-6 hours. And I’m living Montréal ….Winter is really cold and I need to walk to my office… a 5 minutes walk in winter time …..but my coffee stay really hot 6:30 to 11 easy…..
After one year……the coffee stay hot only one hour…. I contacted the Contigo support service because Contigo is lifetime garanty. I don’t know if my problem is part of lifetime garanty…I will revised my review after more news from Contigo.
I’m really sad because I really love my travel mug.

Pros
Easy to clean with the wide mouth and only one moving part on the lid.
Looks great.
Very well built.
Cons
Lid makes the overall size quite a bit larger. I sometimes go around using it like a cup, without the lid, because the size that way is perfect. Lid design (slight narrowing) helps make it easy to carry though.

Paint is chipping off from wear. I only hand wash the metal bit.
The lid can be difficult to clean. I can only get it properly clean running through the dishwasher.
Brilliantly leak proof. Can fall in which way in the car and not a drip spilt

…It’s alright for the price I paid (somewhere a little over $20). I don’t recall spilling a drink for the last few decades, but I probably just jinxed myself, and I do require a spill proof mug at work. This travel mug does look like it seals quite well, you can hear the pressure release when the spout opens. I wouldn’t worry for any spills with this, though I have yet to actually put that to the test.
Cleaning the main part of the travel mug is as one would expect… not easy to score points in this category, ’cause who has anything good to say about doing dishes. The top piece however is a bit more difficult to clean out due to moving mechanisms and hard to reach sections.
I’ve been using this mug on my way to work during the winter, some of the coldest days. Now I don’t have a job outdoors, so it’s only exposed to the cold for several minutes. However compare to my last mug, this one does keep my drink hot for a few hours longer (maybe I’m being generous, but I think up to about 3 hours, if there’s anything left of my coffee by then).
The only issue I have with this travel mug, is that I received mine with a dent in the bottom. It does not show on the inside of the mug, just a cosmetic problem. I was a bit concerned that the dent where it is located may put the mug off balanced, but it doesn’t seem to have any negative effect.

Have a couple of these mugs in the normal size so have been looking for a larger size for quite a while. Unfortunately the lid of this one is poorly made and leaks.
Have tested this lid on the smaller mug and it still leaks. As the duties and postage cost as much as the mug I see no chance for a return.
Cannot recommend this purchase.
Also trying to contact the seller is via Amazon Customer Services only … with a link that only refreshes the page. Is this another case of Amazon squashing negative experiences?

I’ve had a couple of these and they have a hard life with me. I use my flask daily as a truck driver. I’ve bought the larger one this time and I’m very happy with it. The trigger to take a drink is heavy enough so that it doesn’t open accidentally.
My free tip is….
Once you have filled your flash pore the remaining boiling water over the sides of the flask. That way the flask is hot and your drink stays piping hot for hours 😃

The mug does hold the heat as described and I haven’t experienced any leaking. My dissatisfaction lies in the fact that when I’m drinking regardless of how close my lips are to the spout, there is always a line of liquid that runs down when I remove the cup from my mouth. This is entirely unacceptable for when I’m driving and can’t get a Kleenex or something to keep wiping it off after every sip.
And, I’ve only used the mug about 3 times to drink my tea with milk and although I always rinse it out when I’m done, already I’m seeing stains on the inside that don’t come out even when I wash it with the soft scour side of the sponge.

This is a lot of engineering for a travel mug! but it works well and makes it easy to drink while traveling (cars and planes). It keeps the drink hot enough for at least two hours, this means that if you want to drink right away and not get burned you first need to leave the mug open for at least 10-15 min. It’s leak proof as advertised. It is not designed to be leakproof when thrown in a bag like a thermos with screw-on cap would be, but is pretty good and might be forgiving of even that if you are determined to take that chance.

Terrible. First of all… you have to hold the button for any and every sip. And second of all look at my picture and note how the water comes out both sides! Then… picture yourself wearing your beverage. What a dumb design …cant figure out why it has any decent reviews.
