First of all Amazon’s delivery service leaves little to be desired. I was home all day expecting my order to be delivered but as usual, the delivery pesonnel did not ring my doorbell.
In fact it seems they didn’t even make it all the way up the steps and basically dumped and scattered my packages on my porch far from the front door even though there are concealed areas on my porch where they could have placed the items so they’re not out in the open unprotected. Amazon really needs to fix this issue with their deliverers.
Secondly, I love the look and size of the machine. It’s as compact as I hoped it would be. The coffee is hot and the machine slow brews the coffee which enhances the taste. However, it is LOUD, so loud it frightened me the first time I used it It sounds like there are marbles rolling around inside and I’m hesitant to use it. You can hear the loudness in the video.
It also came in a plain cardboard box with a basic computer printed label and with no manual, warranty card or any other paperwork even though in the description it made reference to those being included in the box.
The price also fell a few dollars the day I received my package.
I wanted to love this machine but with the disturbingly loud noise especially, sadly, I will be returning it. The search continues.

I bought the new Krups Drip Coffee maker with great expectations and hope, given I have owned a Krups coffee grinder for more than a decade. Unfortunately, the brand new Krups Coffee maker worked for exactly ONE day after it was taken out of the box. Totally unpleasant experience…least expected of Krups.

First of all manufacturers need to stop using the term “cup”. A cup has a standard measurement which is 8 fluid ounces. It is misleading and a shady business practice to fool consumers into believing that the pot is larger than what it actually is. Please change your description to what the machine actually brews, which is 5 servings of coffee. This pot holds 24 ounces of water which would work out to be about 4.8 ounces or less after brewing per serving of 5. That said I am satisfied with this small coffee maker.

Machine is compact, looks pretty on the counter, but coffee grinds come through the permanent filter, and a paper filter. I also did not like that it doesn’t shut off automatically.
Also I did not find the coffee very hot.

This Krups drip coffee maker arrived quickly with the box undamaged but the coffee maker inside the box came with a small dent in the upper silver part [probably from its factory]. It works well so far and the coffee is nice and hot. It pours without dripping. Unfortunately, it has no direction flyer or warranty certificate while it is more pricey than other 5 cup coffee makers. Like the coffee so might recommend it to someone else.

La compre para poder hacer de 2 a 5 tazas en caso de visitas, el diseño está compacto y bonito, pero el filtro de un par de usos parece que se derritio el plástico que esta alrededor del hoyo de goteo(ver foto). Compre mejor filtros de papel conicos que ya no me da confianza usar ese filtro reusable.

Bought it to replace Krups KM1000 which just served its time….. . So far, after one month use, seems to have it all – functions well, keeps coffee hot, actually better than KM1000 and it does not have too complicated electronics which eventually failed on that one. Seems easy to clean – used only permanent filter that came with it. Price seems right too. If there was one like this a bit bigger I would opt for it but can live with 5 cup size.

Me gustó el tamaño de la cafetera, de igual forma la marca Krups es muy buena, trae hasta su cuchara medidora, el filtro reutilizable es de buena calidad, se mancha con facilidad por el café, pero en general muy buena compra, ojalá vendan los repuestos de la taza de cristal ya que es lo que más riesgo tiene de romperse.

Since I am the only person in my house who drinks coffee I purchased this little gem!! It’s simple to use, makes terrific coffee, and doesn’t take up a lot of space on my countertop. Brews very quietly too!!

Nice and sturdy little pot, perfect for one person, it’ll make 2&1/2 big cups. I’ve always liked the permanent filter, no need to waste money in stores. I gave it a 4 because I don’t like that the on switch and water level indicator is on the side of the machine, you have to turn it sideways every time you refill the water to see the water levels and turn it on. Other than that I’m happy with the product.

I got this because of good experiences with Krups products, it didn’t disappoint. I don’t need mega-quantities of coffee at one time, so the size is good for me. Well made, good looking unit, and it’s small so it fits anywhere on my counter top. I like the simple no-brain needed on/off switch operation as well. Comes with a washable stainless steel filter too. It is mostly plastic, but everything seems well thought out and simple, so it should be reliable.

Good little coffee maker! Looks just like the ones you see at resorts in the Caribbean. Perfect for two people.
I was a little surprised at how small it is, but that’s okay.
One thing I had an issue with was, Canada Post delivery! Amazon uses Intelcom Express as well & they are great.. Canada Post took almost a WEEK for a 2 day delivery!
Amazon refunded the delivery price, which was good, but still I would be happy to never have another delivery via Canada Post!
