So. We bought a boat in the beginning of Covid. The boat did not have a fish Finder on it. A year and some months after buying the boat, I purchased this LUCKY finder. I honestly did not have very much faith that this thing would work, or very high expectations. Boy was I surprised when we began catching fish!!!! For the first time ever we caught more than just catfish!!!
We caught a few white perch.
There is a few cons: 1) it measures in meters
2) if you decide to not drill it to your boat, it does move quite a bit from where you throw it.
Overall , if you need a low budget fish Finder, I say get it!!!!

This is a good fish finder than I expected before I bought it. Before I bought this product, I think it is a kind of toy and not expect it to work well. This is because the price was so cheaper than other products. I actually have Garmin Striker 4 and compare both devices at the same time. There was a little bit different but mostly showed accurate information about fishes. It’s okay this product price is 1/3 of Garmin one. I really like this one. This is so portable and easy to use. I recommend buying this if you do not have any fishfinder or first time to buy a fish finder.

the utility of this compact depth sounder would be much improved if the user manual was re-written in correct English, with illustrated examples. The user needs open water to set up, I tried to set up with a water-filled pipe but the sound waves bounced off the sides of the pipe, not the bottom. Once I was in open water, the sounder was fast, easy and apparently accurate. I have not tried it at night.

It is very basic and simple. I’m not sure how accurate it is. I practiced using it in a pool that was 10 feet deep and the tool kept reading it as 18 feet. I don’t know how accurate it is displaying if there are fish or not under the kayak, if they are I think there is a pretty moderate delay. Fun toy for the kids to play around with on the boat, but I’m not sure if I really wanted to catch fish how much I would rely on it.

I live this little fishing buddy! Easy to use. The only thing I didn’t like was that I was offered a free case but have to jump through hoops to get it..not impressed by that…if ur giving away a free case then send it..I shouldn’t have to email some other email not related to Amazon..made me think its a scam.Fish Finder is good tho.

Figured I would share my preliminary results of using the portable fish finder in saltwater conditions. The unit itself feels like a professional hand held device and has a solid feel. The wire connection that connects the sonar and the monitor has a quick disconnect, care needs to be taken here so that it does not disconnect during usage. However, I have not had that issue, even in rough jersey shore seas. The sonar device can be mounted on the boat hull, a fishing pole, or you can just use the included float. If you are using the float make sure that the wire does not sink to the bottom, this could snag it. In terms of corrosion resistance, the sonar is holding up pretty well so far, as well as the wire. In-water testing was also successful, unit picks up under water structures, and accurate depth. Schools of fish show up very well and it was really nice to see a functioning unit that was not $2500. The LCD display is easy to read and features a back light that can be turned off to save battery life. I would highly recommend this unit for people that are looking for a fish finder that doesn’t break the bank.

Used this product once in our boat and it apparently got wet and now it doesnt work. What sense does it make to have a fish finder that isnt water proof? Its meant to be used on the water. Ffs.

Works for a short time and when it does work it’s not accurate I was in a lake called marsh creek in downingtown pa where the water is 40 to 80 feet deep and fish find tells me it’s only ten feet so no five stars until item is improved

This is a great little fish finder I use while fishing from my canoe. It has a convenient neck strap that keeps it close and easy to read. I find the depth finding feature to be helpful also. It is a good product that is easy to use and inexpensive and portable.

I prefer the simplicity of this unit over the Garmin or Hummingbird which are twice the price. I like the features of the other unit, but could use my smart phone for the extra features like GPS. While the other units pickup fish better and have less false positives, this unit is almost as good with a very good price point. The depth is accurate, as with the type of structure below. Seems to be picking up fish accurate. I’m very happy so far! Mounted on my transom with a phone holder for the screen mount.
