Perfect, no assembly, easy to fit to bike (literally one thumb screw), holds phone more securely than I imagined it could. Wish I’d bought one ages ago!

Solid as a rock. Used with an XS Max and iPhone 6s Plus on H-D Street Bob and a good position within easy reach of the USB port is attainable. Clamps on well. Shame the iPhone 6 shuts down when it gets cold, just when you need directions… maybe more luck in the summer.

J’ai lu quelque part que certains acheteurs ont eu des problèmes de caméra de iphone après l’utilisation à moyens terme. Mon iPhone X à maintenant ce même problème malgré qu’il soit toujours dans son case protecteur. Donc je confirme, certaines lentilles d’IPhones vont détester!

I am sure the RAM Universal X Grip is excellent. I’m sure the RAM Tough Claw is excellent I know that the standardised 1in RAM ball mounts and various arms and accessories are excellent.
This item, however does not feature a standard 1 in ball mount or allow you to mix and match like the entire rest of the range. The ball is not a rubber coated grip ball, it is a plastic moulding, with a matching moulded socket on the back of the X Grip. The ball is screwed into the Tough Claw and not removable. They cannot be separated. They do not mount to other RAM fitting.
There is a reason they are cheap… it is because they are not the RAM Mount you think they are. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

This unit seems really solid , there is no way a phone or GPS would come loose from this mount on even the roughest trails.

Good mount as usual with RAM, but be aware that this clamp does NOT use the standard 1″ ball – the ball size and fitment is unique to this mount and will only work with this, you cannot remove the X-Grip and use the claw elsewhere, it is a single purpose mount.

Excellent bit of kit very sturdy used it on a 150 mile round trip on the first time I used it, not once did i feel it would let me down held my iPhone X max with ease, very easy to attach and remove so would probably not leave on my motorbike as could be quickly stolen

Ram Mounts are simply the best the durability and quality is unchallenged. They’re not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Why trust your £600-£1000 smart phone in some two bit cheap plastic holder? Or any electronic goods. I use them on my motorcycle for my phone, satnav and gopro, I wouldn’t use anything else.
