Sound is clean and bass is strong. I set it to low, but it can really pound. Have it mounted to underside of TV wall mount with special arms and it is very clean. No optical cable in the box. But does have a magnetically shielded HDMI cable and an ARC which I connected to the ARC on tv and the TV remote controls volume seamlessly. The bar itself has an HDMI input as well which could be used for cleaner cable management I suppose. It is not the greatest sound bar out there, but at 240 CAD you cannot beat it.

El modelo que llegó no es el mismo que ofrecen. Es una versión más vieja.

The product is incredible..Im a fan of good bass and JBl 2.1 gives you really nice sound quality and the switch to tv,HDMI and Bluetooth is really smooth..It took me only 5 min to set up the entire soundbar system…Only drawback is that it doesnt come with optical cable you have to purchase it from the store

This product did what we wanted, it is quite fine compared with the (Samsung) TV’s native audio. Have to use an optical cable until figure out how to get HDMI to work (or not), my TV has HDMI but not HDMI ARC, surely there is a way to get this to work but so far no luck. If the TV must have ARC that should be made clear in the product description, according to the hype the optical hookup will not give me the sound quality I would get with HDMI.

The TV i was using this on completely died on me (black screen) so while waiting for my new TV to arrive which is back ordered i decided i’d try and see how the soundbar sounded connected to bluetooth via laptop. When it was connected to the TV is was working okay, there was some serious input lag sometimes when issuing commands on the remote but that was about it. When i tried it via bluetooth it had been about 2 weeks that it hadn’t been used and right away when connected to bluetooth there was serious problems. I was trying to set the bass to high and it kept turning off the soundbar or it would just switch between input modes. When i finally did get it to start playing music from my laptop i would try turning the volume up but it would again keep switching input modes or it would volume down. When i finally got the volume to start going up i then tried turning it down but it kept going up and pressing any other button would continue to turn the volume up. I tried unplugging the soundbar for a while then plugging back in to see if that would fix the issue and it did not. Unfortunately for me this started barely after the return window closed so i have to deal with JBL. I contacted JBL customer service and sent them a video of the issue and it took them almost a week to reply and when they finally did reply they tried to tell me it was my laptop drivers that weren’t up to date…..what a joke! My laptop is a brand new ASUS 2021 laptop and everything is up to date on it and this problem happens when connected to my cell phone too so definitely NOT my laptop drivers being out of date. I replied telling them that my drivers are all up to date and that it happens when connected to my cell phone too and they never replied so i emailed them after waiting over 2 weeks for a reply. A few days after sending them another email they replied ”after reviewing your video again it looks like you need a new remote”…. funny how it went from being my laptops fault to now i need a new remote. And they didn’t even arrange to send me a new remote they gave me another email for their parts department which i had to email myself to try and get them to send me a new remote. What an absolute joke that they make me have to email their parts department to try getting them to send me a new remote instead of just doing it themselves. I got an email back from their parts department telling me that they have none in stock but i could place an order for one and they will ship it once it’s on stock. Then they said to leave my name address and phone number and they would contact by phone soon after for my credit card info. They expect me to pay for it!! I am still under warranty!!! They want $20 for a new remote and $10 for shipping and i’m pretty sure that’s in US dollars. What a joke!!! And then she tried telling me that there’s only a 90 day warranty for the remote! I bought this in November it wasn’t opened until Christmas and the first time i emailed them about the issue was in January. I’m adding a video to this review of the issue, the TV in the video is just an old TV i got from my sister to use for now while waiting for the new TV to be delivered. The soundbar doesn’t work on that TV for some reason even though it has an hdmi connection for a soundbar. It’s probably an issue with the TV it’s quite old but who knows. I’ll update this review if I ever manage to get a new remote, hopefully it is just an issue with the remote and not the soundbar itself. Either way i definitely wouldn’t recommend this soundbar if after barely a month of use it’s already having issues and their customer service is just awful!
UPDATE: I received my new TV and i’m still having the issues with the soundbar plus a new issue where the soundbar will power off randomly in the middle of watching a movie. It has now been 4 months since I first contacted JBL and that they told me that they would send me a new remote. They never sent the remote and they have not replied back to any of my emails in over a month now. The worst customer service i have ever dealt with in my life! I have filed a complaint against them with The Better Business Bureau and they still have not replied to that either. I will update this again if anything changes but in the meantime i highly recommend staying away from this company!
If you want to look up JBL’s Better Business Bureau Profile and see their big fat ”F” rating for yourself (the worst rating you can have). You can look up their BBB profile under the name ”Harman International Industries, Inc”

esta muy bien de muy buena calidad , solo que el control vino rayado y se supone esta nuevo. pero funciona bien. el empaque no me pareció raro por que los sellos no parecían los de fabrica. pero ya por dentro todo biene bien en sus empaques.

Some of my favourite earbuds were JBL because I found the bass range to be excellent for the price, and this unit is pretty much the same. The other thing to note about JBL is that they have a way of processing the audio that it sounds a very specific way. Not bad, but if you have a discerning ear, you’ll notice what I’m talking about. It’s the JBL sound, there’s really no other way to describe it.
This soundbar is great for this price range. Very easy to set up, although I couldn’t get the HDMI pass thru working, I ended up hooking everything up to the TV and then just TV to the sound bar. NBD for what we’re using it for.
The sound took a couple of days to get used to, but that’s because we transitioned from an old receiver with full range speakers to this small sound bar. The receiver was dying (it’s well over 30 years old, so it is what it is). We decided to get a sound bar to down size our set up. We do have another sound bar (an older Samsung sound bar) but we have never been fond of it. Voices are really hard to hear with it and we have ended up getting used to using closed captioning etc, while watching TV. So, with that in mind I set out to find reviews of sound bars that specifically talk about how well vocal ranges are heard. The difference between this sound bar and the Samsung one is incredible. We rarely turn the volume of the sound bar higher than 1 or 2, with the bass set to middle! The volume is unreal, and the voices really stand out.
I do miss the ability to adjust the treble and mid tones separately, and I would have liked to adjust the bass a little. This unit doesn’t allow for customization except to change the bass level from low, middle and high. Overall, however, for what we are using it for, it suits us perfectly. I do not think I could have gotten a better sound for this price range. I only dropped one star for the lack of customization. Even having different presets would have been nice.
