I bought this after spending last winter filling up my tires at the gas stations with fluctuating temperatures.
My observations
1. Very easy to use.
2. Connect power cable to car charger. It is long enough to fill tires on one side.
3. Set the specified pressure (pressure units can be designated in various formats)
4. Connect the original cable to the tire (it came with a bunch of adapters but I could directly screw it on the tires of 2 different cars Dodge and Hyundai)
5. Once the cable is secured, the display will give you the current pressure in the tire – then hit the on switch.
6. Tires get inflated to the set pressure and pump stops automatically.
Conclusion
– One tire was significantly deflated, it took around 4 minutes to pump it
– Other tires were deflated enough for the car sensors to go off, took around 90s to full each. I’m not a F1 driver and these numbers are good for me.
– Device is small and handy with an inbuilt led torch which would be handy when pumping at the road side. The flashing option is well thought of.
– It’s light and does topple a little before one sets its right after connecting to the tires. So just needs a little getting used to.
– Some users might find it noisy but in the greater scheme of things its not a big deal.
Attached are pictures of the pump including when attached to the 2 cars.
Note : In terms of accuracy, I believe it must be very accurate because the car sensors have indicated the same pressure as it was designated to pump to.

This item arrived very quickly and I was surprised at how small & lightweight it was. I tried it out a few days later. Plugged it into a power converter (ordered at the same time) & hooked it up to the first tire. It’s kinda cool that it automatically notes the current tire pressure on the display, then fills the tire to the PSI that I set & automatically shuts off. I was looking for a small compressor that I could keep in the car or garage instead of hauling our large compressor from the house. All in all, a great purchase!

Okay…OMGosh! Awesome. I’m in the dark with a flat tire. I use a flashlight to read tire needs 44 psi. I unwrap this new item and simply attach this device to my tire…it immediately reads 11. I push the “+” button until it reads 44. I turn it on. 3 minutes later the device automatically turned itself off after reaching 44. My tire perfectly inflated. It was so easy I did the rest of the tires which were all low. I wish I was famous I could properly endorse this product. It is amazing. I have used so many like it which were terrible but this one is so lightweight and so freaking easy. I simply cannot recommend this unit enough.

Bought this after a number of positive reviews. Plugged it into my car, the display lit up as pictured (all symbols and numbers illuminated). Top three buttons do nothing, and the M button doesn’t even depress properly. Tried plugging it in again several times to no avail.
Very disappointed with the quality of this unit, but presume from most other reviews that this is isolated case – however there is another reviewer reporting the same issue.

Be aware this newer model is plastic build. It is noisy and looks cheap. I donnot understand why the reviews are so good. The older model is superior although a little expensive.

Dishonest advert-seller makes a big issue of how ‘good’ the ancillary fittings are (for blowing up inflatables/footballs etc are)You get NONE.as to the longevity/quality of the actual pump,I cant really comment. What I CAN say,is the 12v cigarette end struggled to connect to my known working 12v socket-not a good start. On a more general note, items such as this are fine for chucking in the boot with a view to adding a few pounds of fps of your under-inflated tyres. If you think pumps like this will pump up flat tyres from 0-to say 40,your in for a rude awakening, they will get increasingly rattly, then usually burn out due to excess heat,I know, I’ve bought several, ranging from £10-£40,the end result is always the same.
What irritates me about this particular device/seller is that its completely false advertising-other buyers have had the same experience from other reviews.Cant recommend.

I’ve used mine on about a half dozen vehicle tires, a few bike tires now and also a set of air shocks in a truck (VERY handy for that!) Still working-we’ll see how long it lasts.
Pros: digital display; automatic shut off at desired pressure setting (I love this feature); threaded end (so you don’t have to hold it in place or squeeze a valve on); light weight and very compact; comes with handy adapters; can fit in your truck’s door pocket; the price was certainly right; some people complain about the plastic construction—listen, you can’t buy anything made of metal at this price—even so it seems to hold up, just don’t drop it onto concrete
Cons: 12V power cord is too short to reach rear wheels on a full size super crew truck; it’s got a very small pump piston so it takes quite a while to fill a flat tire—unit MUST be shut off to cool after about 5 minutes of continuous use-otherwise it will melt itself down; the pressure display accuracy is a little dodgy-only starts reading at 5psi and is not 100% accurate, but if you know how far it’s off (compared to a real analog gauge) it should be repeatable; no storage case so the little adapters will most certainly get lost
Verdict: Definitely has its limitations but in this very budgetary price range I don’t think there’s anything much better. You’d have to spend two or three times the cost to get something that is arguably better imo. Get an old case to store it in and a 12V cigarette lighter extension in case you have a truck with long box or extended cab, and keep a tire gauge handy to sanity check the pressure. Do that and you’re good to go.

Looking round at compressors was a nightmare. You can read the reviews on each one and find a reason to worry. I’ll tell you what I know so far. This item seems well put together. It has a lead long enough to reach all the tyres on my car or caddy van. You set the pressure you want it to achieve and once you turn it on, it pumps it to just slightly beyond that pressure to allow for the little bit you lose when you take the hose off the valve (clever). It has a little light, good enough for setting your wheel in the dark. It comes with several adapters to blow up footballs etc. It took my low tyre up 10psi to the pressure it needs to be in under a minute.
I’ve used it a few times in the past month of ownership and so far no problems. I just wish it had a storage bag. I put it back in its box, but the box won’t last forever.
I feel this is good value for money and does just what I want it to do, pump up tyres.

First of all I should say that I don’t care about the inaccuracy of the gauge in the unit I got. I have a mechanical Accu-gauge tire pressure gauge which is very accurate. I use it to verify the pressure in the tire. When I use the AstroAI with a target pressure of 36 psi, I was only gettting around 25 psi on the Accu-gauge. I decided to fill my tires up to 32 psi which is close to the minimum recommended pressure. On the AstroAI I had to set it to 42 psi to get 32 psi actual into the tire. This is an error of 30%. However I have not tested this at lower or higher pressures than 32 psi so I don’t know if its the same across a range. I just needed a pump for my car and to reach 32-36 psi. So I will set my AstroAI to 42 psi to get 36 psi actual.
Keep this in mind with your AstroAI that the gauge may not be accurate. on mine it inflates 30% lower than the set pressure so at least its not going over. You are wise to compare your AstroAI to a known accurate pressure gauge so you know what the error is.
I dont really care about the error because I just assumed it wouldn’t be accurate. an accurate pressure gauge itself can cost more than this whole pump. I use my mechanical gauge always when using any pump.
Otherwise for $32 (on sale from $48) this pump is fine. its not ultra high quality but it seems good enough for occassional top-up use. The quality is commesurate with the cost in my opinion. I only just got it and used it to pump up all my tires which were down to about 25psi and i pumped them up to 32 psi.
Yikes ! –
My previous tyre inflator came from a Mercedes kit , it was very good , much better than similar types, but it died, this Astro Ai blows that one into the water and over the horizon, first of all it runs smoother and quieter, not having to screw on the connector is bloody marvelous , and the ability to set the pressure and let it stop itself without me monitoring it is fab .
The hassle factor of filling my tyres has fallen from 8 out of ten to 2 out of ten ( lower being better ).
