Product arrived fast and as expected. Great quality cable and great value. I intended to use it as a longer cable for my USB Hub. Unfortunately the bit of bulk at the end of the connector meant the contacts did not go as far into the USB hub as the original cable so any slight bump or tug and the whole hub disconnects until I firmly push the cable all the way in. So I’m left with a flaky situation where I either need to sand down the plastic around the micro-b connector or buy a different cable.

Purchased the 6ft version in hopes of moving an Anker USB 3.0 powered hub further away from the desk. When the hub is connected using the AmazonBasics 6ft cable, all USB function (including mouse and keyboard) is slowed to a crawl and none of the devices attached to the hub would appear within Windows. I suspect data transmission issues may be at play. Well, no such issues when using the stock 3ft cable. Just for kicks, also tried the Amazon Basics cable on a Seagate USB 3.0 portable hard disk, and nothing in Windows Explorer either. Again, no problems at all using stock cables.
Product simply did not work and failed to meet even the lowest of expectations. It looks nice tho… 0/5

I think Amazon should rename from ‘Amazon Basics’ to ‘Amaz-ing Quality’ cables. This is my.., maybe 6th cable of different kind from Amazon, and yet again impresses me with its:
– Quality Material,
– Golden-metal connectivity ends,
– Length: comes in different lengths.
– Transfer Speed–My Seagate 5TB external drive is back to life. And, the data transfer speed is improved.
Why should you invest into this cable?
USB A to micro USB cables are with delicate ends, so I highly recommend this quality and sturdy cable over them cheap thin cables came with ur hard drives. You won’t regret your purchase.

I bought these for my Galaxy Note 3 as the official Samsung USB3 cables don’t last that long before breaking at the micro USB3 side.
These cables do the job nicely but they are very thick, pretty much as thick as a dual-link DVI cable. Therefore they don’t have much flex to them, and would probably break up inside if you tried.
The micro USB3 side is also quite thick, so may not fit in your device if there is a case/cover. As my phone is in one of those silicon gel covers I just stretched out the gel around the port hole so the cable wouldn’t slip out so easily. If you don’t do this you may find your phone has not charged overnight!

I like the length and the connectors connects tight. The issue is how hard the cables are. I can see this cable being used for a static use but I needed cables for external hard drives. At the small size of external hard drives these days, the cable is so stiff and hard that if you move the cable a bit, the hard drive at the end moves a lot like it’s at the end of a stick. I’ll keep them, but I have to buy the same cable type with more flexibility to them. This is stiff beyond stiff.

Amazon cables provide a great middle point between cheap and unreliable to expensive and over the top with a nice quality cable built to last years with a beautiful gold plating to ensure proper connections without corrosion. I own 4 different cables varying from USB extensions to HDMI cables and I can honestly say we buy these not only for the great price tag but because we believe in this brand to keep our electronics connected properly. Other chords that costed rediculous prices in store have failed after a year, but none of the ones we’ve got have failed yet. Keep up the quality work Amazon!

Digital cable reviews are hard to write because the cable either works or it doesn’t. It’s solid or it’s flimsy. That’s about it as far as ‘interesting and informative’ goes, and it’s all anybody wants to know anyway apart from the price — and that changes pretty much every day anyway. In this case, the cable works and is solid. It costs what it costs today.
Of course, cables can be used for so much more than just connecting devices. Skipping ropes for gnomes, bridles for tiny horses, speed bumps for toy cars, the list goes on. Why not use one of these cables as a washing line? Or use it to tie up larger cables? Or chew it as a particularly bitter liquorice alternative? It’s worth thinking about, anyway. If we expand our expectations of what cables can do then eventually cable reviewers will have more to write about, which is good for everybody.
By the way, don’t actually try to chew this cable. It’s not good for your teeth and it genuinely tastes disgusting. Not that I’d know, of course.

I ordered the cable when I bought the SDD as a recommendation but the cable is not working with the SDD , it is for POWERING something. I have no idea what it is for, I wanted to return it back but it cost $8 and the returning is much more expensive, so I will put it aside. I wish they could specify it is for POWERING , NOT for DATA TRANSFER.

I bought this cable as I had a need to place my TP-Link 3.0 USB Hub further away from my PC, incidentally this is the same TP-Link USB 3.0 Hub that is “frequently bought together” with this cable. The problem I found was that the Micro USB end of the cable would not stay seated correctly in the hub, it seems like the connector is too short by 2mm. The cable supplied by TP-Link with the hub has a positive click to it when seated correctly and needs additional force to remove it; whereas this Amazon Basics cable just falls out. This problem may not effect you but I thought it was worth mentioning.

These shorts are built to last! That is the one thing that is most important to me regarding these shorts. Are they made for long distance, comfortable running? Not really however, if you are not an Ultra-Marathoner, Daily serious type of runner, then these baby will definitely do! I usually run three to four days per week, short (3-4km) and longer distances, (5-8Km) and I wear these shorts; again, not intended for the serious runner as the inseam may feel a bit ..snug, however, they will do the job while training for an event. I have four sets!!!

Clearly this cable works for some people, but I was using it for an external backup hard drive and had repeated instances of it dropping connection to the drive for a split second. This caused a complete computer crash during a large file transfer. I switched back to the (overly short) cable bundled with the HDD and haven’t seen any drops yet so I’m reasonably sure the cable is at fault, and don’t know of any reasons why a longer cable of the same specifications should be causing drops (a metre surely isn’t long enough for there to be a greater power requirement).
So I would be somewhat careful with these cables if you’re using it for something critical. Yours may work perfectly, but maybe leave it in for a few minutes and listen for a ‘device disconnected’ sound.

Had high hopes for this product due to the other reviews and thickness of the cable. But it stopped charging my phone properly after about 3 months of light use. Now, it will charge for 30 seconds and stop, then restart, unless you are able to get the cable in the perfect angle, then it might charge properly. Probably takes about 10 tries to charge my phone. Can’t return it either… only 1 month to return defective goods. Stay away from this cable.
