First, I want to say that I’m a very positive person and would never write a bad review unless I had a REALLY bad experience. I have purchased these ink cartridges for years from my local brick and mortar store. I have never had a problem with the cartridges. I thought I would start purchasing from Amazon since I purchase so many other items from Amazon! Once I finally got my printer to accept the cartridge, everything that printed smeared badly. I tried printing the alignment page twice, but it smeared as well. I have never had this happen with the cartridges I’ve purchased in the past or with my printer. The product is still under warranty, but HP recommended online that I contact the seller to return the item. I didn’t open this item until almost 45 days after making the purchase, therefore I can’t return it, since the seller has a 30 day return policy. I may have just received a bad cartridge, but if you purchase this item, please check it soon after purchasing to ensure it is working properly since you only have 30 days to return the item. I went back to my local store and purchased two cartridges and both worked fine.
Update: I tried repeatedly to contact HP with no luck. The box states that the product does have a warranty, but I can’t get HP to back that up. I have tried calling and I spoke to them on “chat” and they can’t even tell me how to return the item to HP for a refund or exchange! I am completely out of the money I spent on this cartridge.

I don’t know if they’re putting less ink in these now but I have to replace way more frequently than before. I do not print a lot at all and maybe get half of what I used to out of these. Also, my printer says it’s 3/4 full of ink but nothing will print, ink dried up? Will not purchase again.

Between my HP laptop and this printer, I’m done with this company. I have never seen a printer go through ink remotely this fast, I did some quick math and its three times as expensive to print at home compared to going down to your closest brick & mortar store and paying .10-12c a page (Thats using grayscale on low quality settings, color would be significantly more expensive).
I tend to get about 60 pages on average printing using mostly at the lowest quality setting in grayscale. I almost exclusively use this to print Amazon shipping labels so its nothing demanding as far as quality goes. I noticed the price of the cartridges gas increased quite a bit since 2017 when they were still $13 a pop. Now at just under $19 its a hard sell. I may junk this printer and go with something else, paying .35c a page is pretty ridiculous.

It’s printer ink so I’m not sure what all I can say about it aside from it prints well with my old Deskjet 1010. The only downfall is that it will dry up before I get full use of it, and wish smaller (and cheaper) versions of this cartridge existed.
Having to pay what I did and only getting 1-2 prints out of it before it starts clogging up and not printing anymore is such a waste to me. ( only ever print out my tax return for my personal files and some forms just once a year, and the cartridge never lasts from year to year for me, making it so I need to buy one of these yearly.
If you print stuff often and have a supported printer, then it’d be well worth the money.

Do NOT order this product. I bought it at the end of May for my HP printer, printed a maximum of 30 pages, and it ran out of ink, and then my printer started indicating that this is a “counterfeit product.” Do NOT buy this product! It is NOT true HP.

I think all printer ink is way too expensive in general…can we not create an environment that sustains renewable goods? Why is less expensive on the pocket to replace a printer than to buy the ink that goes in it? Especially now with kids at home learning b/c of COVID! Give us a break!

VERY disappointing. After a few dozen pages, this cartridge completely gave out. Nothing is printing clearly and it wasted a ton of ink trying to print pages that came out grayed out and unreadable. I will not be buying this cartridge again, what a complete waste of money! It’s literally cheaper for me to pay to have my papers professionally printed than to bother trying to print anything at home anymore, ink cartridges are a complete scam; that $14 could have gone to something far more worthwhile, like burned in my fire pit.

Don’t buy the printer and don’t buy the ink. I had a perfectly serviceable printer, but bought a new HP laptop. The printer wouldn’t work. So, HP “offered” me a new printer for a price. I bought it, and in ONE MONTH, the printer wouldn’t print. Instead, a message came up saying my printer wasn’t compatible. HP Tech support (somewhere in India) took an hour to fix it remotely, told me the problems were the automatic updates, and “offered” to sell me a warranty for a “nominal fee” of $50.00 per month. (that FIFTY DOLLARS PER MONTH!!!!!). I declined the offer. That was three months ago (3 MONTHS AGO). Now, the printer isn’t working again, with the same message that my laptop is not ‘compatible.’ This is a hustle. DON’T BUY IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. YOU’LL BE RIPPED OFF. I’m returning printer (which I’ve had for 5 months), and will use the local library to do my printing from now on. I’m also contacting the Better Business Bureau.

Before I used to buy them from staples and was able to print more than 200 pages having both text and images. But I am so shocked now.

When I tried to install it in my printer, a message came up saying this was for an older model printer. 61 is still the correct number for my printer but this 61 is apparently older so it is unusable to me. I bought one from Office Depot which works so I know it isn’t my machine. So somehow you are getting an older supply of ink.

I received this ink cartridge on the 7 of january, and by the 25 of the same month, it was out of ink. I didn’t print a lot of pages, mind you : not more than 50. The description said that it was suppose to last for « approximately 190 pages »; well, it didn’t, not for approximately 100, nor for approximately 75. I suggest that if you do not conjure deamons and darkness upon this company and the persons responsible for this scam, that at least you do not buy this product.
