I have just used this device for about two months and weighed about three items.
The maximum weight used would be around 43kgs and the thing went kaput.
The triangle opened up giving way to the belt!!!
It should have been stronger to take at least the recommended weight.
Meh –
This is very nice little gadget which is very accurate and handy to carry with you.
Pros:
Small enough to carry with you anywhere.
Simple Operation.
Designed to lift Luggage firmly.
Holds reading so that you can check without rush.
Reading can be changed from KG to LB at any time which is the best thing of this scale.
After ordering one for myself, I ordered another 2 for my friends and they are very happy with it.

I really like this luggage scale. As someone who brings their whole life on vacation with them, I’m always adjusting the contents right down to the last pound. This scale is light enough to pack in your luggage so you don’t get any surprises at the airport on your way home. It’s easy to wrap the strap around your luggage handle, and the LCD screen is clear. My only disappointment was that I didn’t notice it was initially set to kg, and I was impressed with my packing restraint. It was just one button to change it to lbs. I paid $9.07 for the scale and am really pleased with it.

I’ve had other digital luggage scales before which were quite unreliable as they would keep changing how much a suitcase weighs due to some swinging of the suitcase when picked up and how hard they were to hold in my hand due to their small sizes.
This one, is a bigger scale which is ergonomically excellent as it fits perfectly into your hand and since it’s so easy to hold, suitcases swing even less now which allows for an accurate weight reading compared to the smaller ones I’ve owned in the past.
One thing I would recommend to all buyers is to also add a pack of CR2032 batteries to your basket (many can be found on Prime). Yes, it comes with a battery inside the product itself but I found that it doesn’t last very long and they are hard to find in normal shops (luckily I had some at home from a previous product.

Decided to buy this item as I’m sick of searching around for scales at hotels and air ports. There’s not much to say really its good value for money can weigh bags and cases up to 50kg
Very small and portable, the only issue I have found is that when weighing heavy items, it takes a lot of strength to pull up say for example a large suitcase, that said the screen is easy to read, although it can take a few moments for the weight to settle it’s not too difficult to take a quick reading.
The scales seem accurate they appear to underestimate by between 100-200 grams on larger items but are good enough for the price and purpose

I bought this several months ago and used it before going on a trip. Seemed to work great. Yesterday, I got it out of the drawer to weigh a bag for this week’s trip and the battery was dead. I went out and bought a couple replacement batteries and put one of them in. I weighed my luggage successfully. This morning, I shifted some things between my bags, so I decided to be on the safe side and weigh them again – the battery was dead! The instruction booklet says it has auto shut off after 2 minutes – well, if it’s still draining the battery, that isn’t very effective, is it? Fork out some extra bucks for a better quality product, unless you have shares in batteries.

This is a good device. THe only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars is because you have to keep holding your heavy luggage for several seconds till it locks the weight. It takes time to lock as its 2 digits after decimal dont stabilize as its too sensitive to weight. At times I had to hold my 23kg bag for over 5 seconds for the weight to lock. I am only interested in seeing example 26, not 26.87

It works great but after a little bit of a modification on my own. Whenever i picked up a suitcase using this thing, it would turn off. Then as soon as I would put it down, it would turn on. So I realized after some trial and error that the whole body of this thing flexes as you pick up stuff, and the battery comes lose inside it and loses contact. I took a piece of business card and put it in the battery to make it hold tighter. No problems now! Hope this helps someone.

Durante años, para pesar mi equipaje, me tuve que subir a una balanza personal cargando la maleta y después restarle mi peso. Mi espalda nunca lo agradeció. Ahora uso esta pequeña báscula de Amazon. Es muy práctica, peso las maletas con una sola mano sin problemas. En mi reciente viaje, la aerolínea permitía 23 Kg de equipaje facturado. Con esta báscula lo llevé a 22.5 Kg (por precaución) y eso fue exactamente lo que pesó en el aeropuerto. En el viaje de regreso… la misma historia, 23 Kg medidos con la báscula de mano (la primera pesada me dio la confianza y llené la maleta al tope) y el resultado fue el mismo en el otro aeropuerto, exactamente 23 Kg. Quedé gratamente impresionado. Una vez más, un producto de calidad de AmazonBasics.

Really annoying and the only way I can weigh things is to take the battery cover off, re-insert the battery and gently, slowly lift the item up and if I move too fast it turns off again. Really frustrating!!

I needed a scale right away as I was departing next day and store were close. The hook of the belt doesn’t hold well and the battery was low after the first use. It stopped working and I had to figure out where to go buy the specific battery needed. Would not recommend.

This is just what you need for weighing your luggage and for weighing parcels for shipping / postage which is what I mainly use it for. Just put your package in a carrier bag not forgetting to attach the bag to the scales first and zero the measure. It is accurate to within 50g so this is no good for exact measurement of very light items bu fine for small parcels.
It is also easy and comfortable to hold when in use. Don’t know how long the batteries will last but I would think it would be OK for a reasonable amount of time.
