I like the sporty design and soft edges. My baby occasionally finds the metal bit on the bottom, but usually the plastic bezel keeps him safe from scratches. The fabric band is comfortable on my wrist. The metal closure releases under some force, so there’s no question that the band would let go before a little wrist could be hurt. It’s very easy to put on and doesn’t turn around. Good stuff.

My 7y.o. picked out this watch for his birthday. He and I love it’s design. HOWEVER, after less than 2 months, his watch has stopped working! We are both terribly disappointed! AND It is NOT the battery that’s at fault. It is something with the watch mechanism itself. Because I just replaced the battery and the watch is acting wonky again. It’ll be fine for a couple of hours, then it stops. Then it starts again and stops yet again.

When the watch arrives in the post, the battery is protected and you are required to pull a tag off to get the watch started. This would indicate a good battery is in the watch. My daughter loves the watch. It’s very comfortable and she has worn it everyday for a week. Sadly she came crying to me this morning because the unicorn hand had stopped moving. I suspect the battery is dead after only a week. Poor product and i can’t find any information on who to return the watch to in order to use the product warranty. The Timex warranty states that if the watch wasn’t bought directly from Timex, the manufacturer warranty is no longer valid.

Great watch. It’s been forgotten on the beach, put through the washing machine, forgotten to be removed in the shower multiple times and it’s still going strong! After almost a year the band is still in fine condition. I was concerned because it’s elastic that it might fray and stretch out but I am more than satisfied with it.

Grear little watch for very little wrists. I couldn’t find a watch that either had enough holes on the strap, velcro or small enough strap circumference to fit my tiny 5 year old. This watch has a lovely splash proof material strap that can tighten as much as want along the pull through buckle type. (No holes) the analogue face is dainty enough to not oversized on a small wrist but enough for a child to read the time and words on the hands of the clock. My daughter loves watching the unicorn fly/tic around the clock.

My son is only 3, so this is definitely a gift that was a bit old for him. And because it is meant for kids a bit older it is a little to big on him. But my kid is FASCINATED by clocks and points them out everywhere and loves to listen. To my husband’s watch tick so I figured why not? He loves it. And is proud that he has a “clock” of his very own

This item is not suitable as the watch face is far too small to read. Yes, it is a childs watch and as such small, but this is too small. Some of the numbers are too small to read! The hour hand has a unicorn attached which makes it virtually impossible to read the correct time. If you just want a “toy” watch that keeps time, I guess this is ok, if you want a watch to help teach the time, this is not the one!

Santa brought this watch for my son this Christmas and he LOVES it. He is five years old and is just learning to tell analogue time, so it helps to have both the hour numbers and minute numbers on the dial. It also has a second hand, which is hard to see in the picture because its yellow. The watch strap is a stretchy fabric band that slips on and off and is honestly way easier than a traditional fastener. I am super pleased with this timex, I wouldn’t wear it to swim or anything, but for a first watch it is perfect. Note it does NOT have indiglow, I am not sure if timex even makes watches like that anymore but I was kinda hoping it would light up and was a bit bummed to discover it doesn’t.

I had the purple flower design when I worked a Weekend / summer job in a restaurant around 1989-1992 – so whilst I can’t really account for the waterproof quality of this new one I have given my daughter; the previous one survived Littlewood’s kitchen sink everyday for 3 years! Love it Initial reason for myself now her is adjustable strap and fabric prevents sweat rash on inside of wrist from a plastic/ leather / metal strap and clasp.

I bought it for daughter and I had to sew it shut to prevent her from loosing it. The closure doesn’t stay secure. Apart from being cute and somewhat easily readable its not a great watch for a kid who like to play outside and climb and frankly be a normal 9 yo kid.

Bought for a 4-year-old, and although he’s not ready to learn to tell time, he loves wearing this watch. The band is adjustable and easy to secure and I appreciate that I was able to find a watch without Spiderman or Paw Patrol characters. I remember having a similar Timex when I was younger and I love that the style is still around today.

I got this for my son for his birthday. He loved it. It kept good time, and the watch itself is fairly rugged, good for dealing the rough-and-tumble of his play.

The band, unfortunately, is utterly unequal to the task of keeping a watch on a child’s wrist for more than an hour or two. Within a couple weeks, the watch was coming home in a pocket more often than not. We ordered a new (velcro) band, but by the time it arrived, the watch had disappeared off his wrist.

In short: a great kid’s watch for the month or so before it inevitably sloughs off into a storm drain. Buy a different band.

My son just learned to read the analog watch so he was very excited to have this watch but this watch is faulty since it is always behind time. I exchanged it with another exact watch, thinking the first one was faulty but the second watch had exact same problem. I had its battery checked and the problem was not with the battery.
