Bought this set for my son to wear under his soccer uniform. He says it’s very comfy and did a great job at keeping him warm and dry while playing in the rain without getting too sweaty. Washed well. Would buy again. We bought a size up and it fits him well with a little room to grow. If your child is tall or a heavier build, buy the size up.

This is a must for Canadian winters, or cold night camping. My son was warm all night in a tent, in the Canadian Rockies at 4C weather. There was 0 sweat and he loved the fabric. It is thick but breathable. Have not washed it yet, but unless my review changes, it’s a keeper! I am expecting this to hold well when we hit -40.

I ordered these for my son anticipating a trip to the snow. When we opened them so he could try them on, he declared he loved them right away. The inside is super soft and comfortable. In fact, he ended up using them as pajamas for a week and I could barely get him out of them. But, when I needed to wash them I noticed that the “silky” (meaning polyester) outside was already starting to pill. When I pulled them out of the dryer, the elastic waistband was already warped. I wouldn’t expect these to last through a long, rough winter. I’m going back to only purchasing 100% cotton thermals.

UPDATE (March 14, 2019): After my initial 2-star review, I was contacted by the seller who said I must’ve gotten ahold of a bad pair and offered to send my another at no extra cost! I was so pleasantly surprised and took them up on that offer. We received the new pair very quickly, and opened them up right away. This pair DID seem a bit thicker and softer. My son immediately wanted to put them on and exclaimed how comfortable they are. He absolutely loves them. He’s been wearing them for at least a week now and there’s been no pilling on this pair. I finally got them off of him and washed them and they failed much better through the wash! I am completely shocked. I very much appreciate the seller being so proactive. It’s always a welcome surprise these days. Thank you for that alone!

I bought a large for my 9 year old. It fit perfectly and kept him warm in cold temperatures that almost hit freezing. We did a lot of walking outside and it was sufficient. He’s a taller than average but skinny 9 year old, and his jeans usually need an adjustable waist to cinch them up. The thermals were long enough for his tall frame and fit his waist. So, they’re made for skinnier frames but are stretchy. Hope this helps someone with sizing. I always get him a size larger in pants so that they are long enough.

I bought this item for use as a sports undergarment base layer for my kids to wear under their hockey equipment. This item contained a description for use as a “base layer” for sports activities, which is what led me to buy it for this purpose. However, upon receiving this item it was patently obvious that this is not a sports undergarment (compression or otherwise) but rather a thermal layer for very cold weather. This would NOT work whatsoever to be worn under hockey equipment or for any other sports activity. The item description is definitely misleading.

XL youth is a good fit for boys growing out of size 12 with room for jammies, my son is 8, size 12 in most clothes and 4 foot 4.5″. Very soft, fit good with room everywhere except for the butt. If your child has a booty and not a flat butt, these may not have the room you want. Every where else on the body fit great but the waist sat right above his butt and had no wiggle room so when my son bent over you could see the top of his underwear and butt crack – still tons of room in the legs. Returning for this reason. I bought them with hopes to get a few seasons at least as my son grows like a weed. He is in the in between sizing, no longer fits in boys 14 or youth XL jammies. Might have to go to mens small. Oh, Dear … and although these are supposed to be thermal and warm, they felt light and soft, not too hot for Canadian summer. Wish these came in a bigger size but from what I can see, youth XL is the biggest. Hope this review helps someone. 🙂

I actually bought these as jammies for my son, It can be hard to find pjs for boys that aren’t too kiddy, and these are great. The threads have started to come undone of the cuffs, and the waist its a little bit big, I had to take them in myself, but other than that they work for what I needed them for.

The product was delivered on time. looks like the picture and fits as expected, it feels like its good quality material but I was disappointed with the stitching. As can be seen in the picture it already came undone after one wash and my son hasn’t even used it yet.

Product arrived earlier than expected and appears to be good quality. My son says they’re very comfortable. Size charts need to be cleaned up, there are 5 different size charts shown throughout the posting leaving it a guess what size to buy, I bought medium for my 9 yr old boy and it’s a shade loose.

My son seems pretty happy with these. We put them to the test during his soccer game… freezing temperatures and gusty winds. Most of the other kids were struggling to keep warm, but he had no complaints. Probably too warm to use as a base-layer for skiing!

EXCELLENT kids thermals. Super soft inside. Wash well. Kept both my kids super warm on our trip to Mammoth (daytime temps mid 40s on the slopes).
Got the XS for my nearly 4-year old boy (39.5″ and 34 lbs), and they fit just as you’d want a base layer to fit – close to the skin but not too restricting.
Got the girl version in a small for my tall 6 year-old girl (47.25″/52 lbs), and they fit great too, but she will likely need to size up next season (a little bit tighter on her than on her brother, but she’s built a bit thicker!). Great value though for a top and bottom set.
