My son said they are very comfy. My son is 12 , is about 5’3 and 85lbs. He skinny. I ordered a size 10 (M). They fit perfect. The drawstring is super long. Will prob cut it off or take it out if he don’t use it. Love the zipper pockets. So if he out shooting hoops, riding bike or mowing it wont fall out.

We bought these shorts because we had a hard time finding shorts with a zipper and pocket big enough for a phone in a case. The first time my son wore the shorts the pocket seam opened/broke and he lost the credit card in his pocket but fortunately was holding his phone. Now he wears this second pair and the pockets are holding out.
The shorts are extremely casual, they look like the top of a pair of sweat pants you would wear at home. So they are super comfy but much more casual than they look in the photos.

After seeing these shorts online, I thought they would be cute and comfortable for my son to wear for his 5th b.day party. When they arrived they were a size a 10. I thought perhaps it was an error on my behalf and reordered the item, correctly.
A few days later, I checked my order only to see the incorrect item being sent AGAIN so I called AGAIN, only to be told it’s a “glitch in the system” & to reorder and they’ll correct it. Well they didnt.
I have been charged 3 times for the incorrect item.

I ordered a 7 for my son because that is his normal size. Sometimes the 7 is a little big and the 6 is a little small depending on the item/brand. These shorts were a little big on the waist (no biggie because they have drawstrings) but quite long. My son is no short boy and normally doesn’t have this problem.
I did go ahead and order the 6, which hasn’t arrived yet but I expect i will be keeping them.
They are a nice quality pair of shorts. I like the zipper pockets (handy for kids who find “treasures” everywhere but also run and tumble and jump etc lol) and the accents where the drawstring comes out.
Overall I recommend these shorts, I would only say: consider buying a size down; or the smaller of 2 sizes if your kid is in between. Even if they normally wear the larger size.
