These worked so well I bought a second pair so it’s easier to have one always clean when my son has been rolling around in a wet sandbox all day. They’re so light they’re decently cool even in warm weather. My son has been wearing his first pair for months and they haven’t torn or stained at all, which is pretty impressive considering how he plays.

I ordered a 2-3 for a 2 year old. I was hoping it would be big. The pants themselves seem to be an accurate 3T size, but the elastic in the waist is so tight that it didn’t fit around my grandson. The materials seem to be good quality, and the previous rainsuit we had from this company was fine, so I ended up taking the stitching out of a few inches of the front of the waist, cutting out about 3 inches elastic, and sewing the fabric back down flat. It fits fine now and will stretch enough for growth.

The cuffs are not elastisized but have a snap. The snap as placed is way too small to fasten around a rubber boot of a 2 year old. I’m going to have to remove the snap and put in some elastic.

They’re nice pants and seem to be holding up under a lot of mud, rocks, scrambling, and falling. To me they were worth the trouble, but if you don’t sew, these might not be the pants for your kid.

I brought the mountain warehouse pakka kids over trousers, due to getting soaked a few days before. An age 14 fits perfectly if you’re 5ft 1 and normally take a size 10. They go well with the woman’s pakka waterproof jacket. I highly recommend them as they are fully waterproof and look great with pink Welles

These are extremely poor quality. My 4 year old had them on for less than an hour and both snaps on the cuffs broke. The strain of a few trips down the slide at the playground was too much for the cheap plastic snaps. Can’t comment on the quality of the rest of the product, but I would not recommend them and would not buy them again. Velcro or elastic at the cuff would be a better choice.

Update this to say that I contacted the seller and they immediately sent a replacement pair. The new pair seems to have a better snap mechanism, so I’ve increased my review from 1 to 3 stars.

Lightweight, unrestrictive and tidy away neatly into their compact bag. My son recently was going a Beaver Scouts trip where they weren’t sure of what the weather may bring so I purchased these. They were perfect, they took up no space in my sons small backpack and are light as a feather. They were needed and my son easily popped them over his trousers and boots. They kept him dry and his clothes dirt free, and washed with ease when he got home. He has since used them when playing in the snow and other rainy walks and they are still as good as new.

For the cost, not a bad pair of waterproof pants. They’re very thin material but have stood up okay to a weekend scouts camp and biking in the rain. They’re short for their size, is my main issue with them.

Awesome material although we didn’t get to try it outside because they were too tight in the waist and too short in the legs. My son wears an 8/10 US sizing and we bought a 9-10 in these and they were too small. Material is more rubbery than a splash pant but not thick. Side note: the same brand of soft shell jacket in 9-10 fit regularly as he also wears a 8/10 there as well.

Got these pants for my 4 year old for the mostly rainy and rare snow fall that we have in Vancouver. So far they are doing well, put a couple layers under them for the snow and they are good to go! My only complaint is that the straps on the bottom don’t provide enough velcro to strap them tightly around boots, but we just tuck them in with no issues.

My daughter went off on a night-time hike with her scout group and was advised to get some waterproof pants in case of inclement weather. These pants had pretty good reviews and essentially – for us at least – were reasonably priced. Available in three different colours, we opted for black so that they would match with pretty much whatever she chose to wear. Aged 11 and of average height and build, we picked up the 11-12 sizing and they were a perfect fit – a good elastic waistband, with perfect fitting length. The ankle area can be adjusted with a velcro strap, but this didn’t adjust so far that it was flush with my daughter’s ankle circumference, but enough so that they didn’t flap about and stopped any draught. They fit well over her jogging pants and were comfortable to wear.

On her hike, she ended up knee-deep in mud (I am assuming she wasn’t using her torch very effectively!), having to be pulled out by the scout leader. Although her hiking shoes were completely caked in mud, which also penetrated the inside of her shoe and soaked her sock, the waterproof pants protected her jogging pants underneath. I was really impressed by that – possibly there was some sort of vacuum effect? – which also saved me a job of flaking mud off clothing before bunging them into the washer.

The pants are waterproof, help buffer the wind and are comfortable to wear. Apparently also effective in protecting underclothes in sinking mud pools!

Bought these for my seven year old. They kept him dry for a couple of rainy days (though as many note, there are open pocket-sized slits with no pockets that are perplexing) but maybe the third time he wore them he took a high speed tumble off his scooter and tore a hole at the knee. Not super durable pants, I’ve gone and bought him something more expensive and tougher. Maybe these would be okay if you don’t have a super active rough and tumble kid.

First of all these are pretty thin, and were very expensive. But the one HUGE FLAW with these is that they have fake pockets. Not the kind of fake pockets that don’t open…rather the kind that open into a hole!!! What??? They basically have two slits on each side where a pocket should be, but there are no pockets. Just pocket holes. How are these waterproof??? Had I noticed this earlier, I would have sent them back right away.

I bought these waterproof trousers for my almost 7 year old in a size 9-10 as she is very tall for her age. They fit well with a room to grow, but lengthwise I am happy I went with the size above. They are indeed waterproof and having used them for a very wet tobogganing session, she stayed perfectly dry underneath. The trousers come in their own little pouch, so great for taking away in a bag. The bottom of the trousers is equipped with velcro for tighter fit around the ankles.
