Timberland Men’s 35mm Classic Jean Belt

You get what you pay for and for the priced I paid, I got a pretty good deal. Do not worry about sizing because they are on point. The belt is made of good material, no threads sticking out and no wrinkles.

The sizing is the same as your pant size. I got a size 32 and it fits like a glove.

This seems like a good belt. It’s a good thickness and width, and I like the buckle, and on first impression, the leather seems durable.

However, the belt did not come in the dark brown pictured. It was brown, but sort of a medium brown, which was disappointing. Also, where the holes were punched through, including where the prong is attached to the bar, the raw leather edges were left undyed and very light, not at all like in the pictures. Some purchasers may not care, but these little details are important to me, and the pictures are a misrepresentation of what I received.

I used brown shoe polish (a Kiwi brand liquid polish) to darken the belt and stain the insides of the punched holes and anywhere where the raw edges or back of the leather might be visible, e.g. inside the edges of the fold and the loop. (If you do this, be careful not to let puddles of polish sit on the face of the belt, or they’ll cause spots that are hard to fix.) I brushed the polish with a shoe brush that unexpectedly released some old black polish residue, which created an interesting appearance of patina. I used a rag to remove excess polish and none seems to be shedding onto clothing. I think some will come off sooner or later, particularly at stress points, and the belt will require periodic touch-ups, but I can live with that. I’m hoping the leather ages gracefully, and absorbs more color over time. I’m satisfied with the current result, and will be happy to wear the belt, but I wouldn’t quite have been satisfied with the belt if I’d left it as it was.

I would have given this belt three stars had I not been able to adjust it to my satisfaction. Now I think it’s close to a five-star belt, for the price, but I’m reserving the last gold star for my own intervention. 😉

Also I actually hate logos on my clothing, including relatively subtle embossed logos like on this belt, but because it’s relatively subtle, and I ordered it knowing it would be there, I won’t deduct another star.

My husband is extremely picky and I was attempting to replace his 25 year old belt that was only an inch & 1/4 wide. He LOVES his new belt…it is rugged, looks great & is a little skinnier than most other belts now, but still substantial. Only had it a few days, so far so good! Oh, his waist is about 35″ and the size 38″ is perfect.

I’ve had this for a month and already the “leather” is deformed and bent so when not on it looks like a snake that got run over by a train. I didn’t like it when I first got it as it felt cheap and thin, but I figured what the heck, maybe it would last… I doubt I’ll get 6 months out of this. Even though it wasn’t that expensive, I’ve had way better quality belts in the past that were the same price.

I bought this because mens leather belts swam to be better quality and cheaper than womans. This belt lives up to its expectations! Best belt I ever bought. On some belts after wear the hole seem to stretch and belt leaves crease marks but this one doesn’t and I worn it every day with my jeans. Even my husband has tried to steel it lol he can buy his own haha
