These New Balance walking shoes have held up incredibly well since July, 2019! They look almost brand new! Check out the pics. I am a big guy and I have worn them almost daily, walking about 5 kms per day on pavement, gravel paths, and dirt nature trails, in all weather conditions. They are very high quality.
The good: very durable and very comfortable. They have been soaking wet and dried out several times and still look good.
The bad: They kind of tilt forward because the heel is so high. I think this is by design since they are “walking shoes,” but it takes a bit of getting used to and I would prefer a flat sole, tbh. After a year and a half of heavy use the cushioning has finally gone out of the heel on the left shoe and it has sort of collapsed internally. The left shoe has finally lost its mojo. Other than the internal collapse of the one heel, the shoes are in great condition and the treads seem barely worn. I really trust the New Balance brand after owning these shoes.

When you find a shoe you like, that fits you great, is really comfortable, and looks good – just keep buying it!
This is version 5 of the model 608, and at least the 4th or 5th pair of 608s that I’ve owned over many years. I wear them as a casual shoe, everyday, everywhere. New Balance has 1/2 sizes and a wide variety of widths so they fit better than any other running shoe. I can walk all day through a convention floor or theme park, and at the end of the day, still feel great. They look good enough to wear with casual pants or jeans at the office. The leather will survive puddles, and wipes up clean. Oh, and they last a long time too!

El servicio y entrega de Amazon maravilloso. Los tenis estan excelentes, se ven de muy buena calidad y acabado. Yo necesitaba que fueran de horma ancha y los pedi ademas ligeramente mas largos. Me quedaron justo como queria, me los acabo de probar y es un alivio no sentir que me aprienten por ningun lado. New Balance afortunadamente ofrece hormas anchas para los que no tenemos pies delgaditos y si eso buscan no se arrepentiran. QUizas no sea necesario pedirlos mas largos pero preferi no arriesgar. Vamos a ver a largo plazo que tal salen.

Hola a todos, en tenis esta bien como producto, pero excelente por el precio, le puse 4 estrellas por que la parte interna es de material sintético, ahora, ojo para los de pies anchos, la horma es normal, asi que te pueden quedar algo justos.

I have been wearing New Balance shoes for years as they are not expensive, are very well made and have a variety of different sizes and styles to choose from. I was very happy to find this new version of the 608 cross trainer as they had fit absolutely perfectly when I had purchased the original version over 20 years ago. So I was very pleased to find out when I received these from Amazon that they fit me exactly as they did all those years ago and still maintained the high standard of craftsmanship. I buy this shoe New Balance because I have a cronic back pain. These shoes help a lot more then anyother shoes I had purchased to releave the back pain. More then 15 years I buy New Balance shoes only. I Purchase one pair white one pair black.

Fit as expected. Did receive just prior to a 12 day vacation and slightly concerned with comfort and potential heal issues which is a concern. A 2 minute walk around the store is not necessarily indicative of issues until you have a more extensive walk. And yes, have shoes in the closet with that problem.

El producto en si es muy bueno, yo planeo usarlo para un “termino medio” entre un calzado deportivo y un zapato casual. Utilicé la tabla de tallas de la pagina de New Balance Mexico, pensando que su referencia sería mas acertada y pedí el número US 10.5, para mi pie que es 27 a 27.5cm, sin embargo, tuve que devolverlo por que el numero que me llego era una casi tres centímetros más grande que mi pie. Solicité la devolución y de inmediato hice la compra de un numero menor.

As shown in the picture, the toe box on the 608v5 (left) is much, much narrower than it was on the 608v3 (right). I bought these to replace my old 608v3 shoes, and I bought the same size and width. While the old 608v3 shoes fit my feet perfectly, the new 608v5 shoes are much too narrow up front, causing my big toe to jam into the side of the shoe. The rest of the shoe feels the same in terms of length and in terms of width along the rest of the shoe. I don’t know why New Balance would make such a dramatic change in the fit (or last) but keep the same model number. Very disappointing.

I have been buying New Balance shoes for 20 years because I have a wide foot that is hard to fit into other brands. New Balance men’s size 10 4E has been the only thing that reliably fits me, until these. I was shocked when they arrived and tried them on to find that they were very tight, so much so that I had to check the box and tags to make sure they were the right size. Sadly, I had to return them for that reason. Order at least a half-size larger than usual.

Adquirí estos en 800 pesos y me pareció un buen descuento, escuche algunos comentarios que venían reducidos así que compre talla wide pero creo que unos estándar ajustaran a la mayoría, viene con un poco de soporte de arco pero para mi que tengo pie plano me han resultado de cómodos. El principal uso que les doy es para zapatos de trabajo porque buscaba un zapato cómodo para mis actividades, trabajo en una pizzería y quería un zapato antiderrapante y comodó que se observará formal y estos cumplen con su objetivo.

A good shoe as advertised and will probably last 6 months to one year under heavy use, and you really can’t expect much more than that in the current era.
If one has ever injured their ankle or Achilles tendon, you may find that the shoe on the side of the old injury will fit a bit loose in the heel until the shoes are broken in, but this seems to ultimately resolve itself.
Just take care as to delivery services that are being used.

I found the toe box much smaller than my old pair and these are quite stiff, I tried walking in our living room with them, but the design , the narrow fit, the smaller size all added up to a very uncomfortable runner. I really wish NB wouldn’t take a great shoe and redesign it after all these years. I’m a ladies 13 M and these were one size too small.
Considering I ordered men’s 11.5 , I would have thought they had to fit. I so wanted them too! But rule of thum: one finger’s width between heel and shoe in athletic wear.
